Your first visit will include the following:
After your initial visit, a treatment plan is prepared by our clinical staff and, based upon your needs, we then begin the treatment. Initial visits will then be made to complete a battery of tests. Scheduled appointments are made as directed for additional testing if needed based on your medical conditions. Finally, we look at the endocrine function of the body, since weight loss cannot happen unless we deal with correcting this imbalance. Through questionnaires as well as all of the above diagnoses and possibly bloodwork, we will determine what eating plan as well as what exercise plan will fit your body best. Nutrition is an integral part of this whole process since it was a lack of proper nutrition that propagated this problem.

Your treatment will be based upon your BMI (Body Mass Index) which is a much better indicator of your obesity than a simple weight measurement. In addition we will determine your body fat percentage and your overall physical fitness level. As you begin your exercise and dietary changes you will notice a change in your BMI, percentage of body fat, and your overall feeling of healthfulness. Each week a measurement will be taken of your weight and body fat percentage as well as body measurements so that accurate tracking can take place of your progress as well as any needed changes to your plan.
A food and meal planning support will be used to help you determine your specific nutritional needs as well as help you keep on track. The typical effects of dieting result in fatigue, hunger, sleep disturbance, irritability, and cheating by eating. We have established a protocol of treatment that avoids these common pitfalls of typical weight loss programs. Use of appropriate foods and nutritional recommended specifically for you, not some predetermined cookie cutter diet plan, will help you avoid these problems.
